Brooke Bayless started her dance training at the age of 3 in Oldsmar, Florida at a local dance studio. She started training with Lindsay Clark, Director of Tampa Bay Ballet and Tampa Ballet Theatre in 2010. She is currently an apprentice in Tampa Ballet Theatre’s Company and attends company classes in the mornings. Brooke does full-time virtual school so that she can focus more on her ballet training. Brooke has danced many roles including Odette in Swan Lake, Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty, Dracula’s Bride in Dracula, Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland, The Queen of Dryads from Don Quixote, and Marzipan, Chinese, Spanish, and Columbine Doll in The Nutcracker. Brooke has competed in YAGP 3 times dancing a variation from La Esmeralda, the Act III Kitri Variation from Don Quixote, and the Odette Variation from Swan Lake; she also did a contemporary piece choreographed by Alex Prado and the Bluebird Pas De Duex with Tyler Anderson. Brooke has taken many master classes including ones from principle dancer at NYCB Ashley Bouder, principle dancer at NYCB Amar Ramasar, former principle dancer of ABT and artistic director of Ballet West and Boston Ballet Bruce Marks, author of The Pointe Book Janice Barringer, founder of Modas dance program Duncan Cooper, artistic director of the JKO school Franco Di Vita, and Ballet Master of the ABT studio company Carlos Lopez, as well as many others. Brooke has also auditioned for many Summer Intensives including American Ballet Theatre, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, and Orlando Ballet School, she has received acceptance from all and has attended American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive at the New York City location in the summer of 2015 where she received a soloist role in the final performance.
