The mission of the Tampa Ballet Theatre (TBT) is to educate, entertain, and broaden the outlook of the community through the world of classical and contemporary ballet. The company will pride itself in preserving the classical masterpieces of the previous centuries, along with creating new contemporary and classical repertoire by producing exhilarating performances for the greater Tampa Bay area and surrounding locations. TBT strives to provide an educational platform for the community through outreach and by offering the area’s dancers an opportunity to have a local professional dance company, to study alongside in mentorship programs through a rigorous training program. Trainees and apprentices alike will dance alongside company members in seasonal performances throughout the year. Through these plans of educational outreach and performances for the area’s patrons and local dancers, TBT will engage itself in community functions to help not only give back to the community through the art of ballet but also by lending a structural support for the arts in the local area.
